DON’T MISS: ‘Be Seen Reading’ July 19th Arundel 12-3pm
Have a book, magazine, comic, newspaper... and Be Seen Reading. Let’s be the best role models we
can be and show young people that reading can be fun and interesting (and better than a screen)!
Bring your own reading material, share with someone and Be Seen Reading! #beseenreading
Her messages are clear: “Those children who choose to read, and who enjoy their
reading, gain so much,” explains Polly, “Not only academically but socially, with
greater language skills, empathy and general understanding of the world around
them. Also, and even more importantly, there is no better way to form emotional
attachments with your child than when you share books and read to them.”

Polly Atkinson founded her business, Children Reading for Life, to support parents
and families with their children’s reading at home. Knowing the importance of
reading for pleasure, Polly gives talks and demonstrations explaining why a love
of reading is so advantageous for all of us, but especially children.
