CHILDREN’S STORY WRITING
Competition
Are you a budding author? Can you use your imagination
and creativity to write a story (max. 500 words).
Think about an amazing story YOU
would like to read... and write it yourself!
Will you write an adventure story?
Will you include magic? Will you
choose to write a story about
your ‘favourite day’? Make it as
imaginative, descriptive and fun
(or scary!) as you like: YOU are
the author!
Include an illustration of your
own: one of your characters or
perhaps a scene from your story.
10 stories will be selected to be
published! If YOUR story is
successful, you may be asked
to sign copies of the book JUST
LIKE AN AUTHOR at the book
launch on August 17th
which will take place at
a local bookshop with
world-acclaimed
author Sally
Gardner!
